About The Event

Maybe you're curious about labour rights. Maybe you want to hang out with other members of the oldest TA labour union in Québec. Maybe you're wondering about TA bargaining, or what's on the radar with Invigilator bargaining (which will be starting soon). Maybe you have a specific question, maybe you don't.

Come by, or hang out online!

Location: Thomson House (bar floor, we'll be at a table with a small sign) + Online Date: Friday, March 20 Time: 4 pm - late

Questions about the event: email

Accessibility: Thomson House has a wheelchair-accessible entrance on the restaurant level (below the bar), as well as an elevator. All bathrooms in Thomson House are gender-neutral, though the bathrooms on the bar floor may be difficult for wheelchair users to access. While we will have a pitcher or two of beer, we'll have non-booze drinks, too. If you have specific concerns not addressed here, please reach out to, and they'll work to minimize the barriers to participation in this event--McGill's physical environment might be not-ideal, but we'll do all we can to support everyone!

Land Acknowledgement: This event is taking place in Tio’tia:ke or Mooniyang (so-called Montréal), on the traditional territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka and Anishinaabeg. AGSEM honours and respects these diverse Indigenous peoples, and recognizes that our presence on this land is but one outcome of an ongoing colonial legacy. We continue to reflect upon the impact of this heritage on our presence here, and include this statement as a first step in interrogating the diverse effects of these under-acknowledged colonial histories.
