About The Event

The AGSEM Mental Health Working Group invites you to a panel on “Navigating Graduate Supervision” on September 12th, 2022 at 4 pm EST.

The Working Group has identified various relevant themes for graduate students for the panel discussion. These include: communication, perfectionism, time and deadlines (from the angle of supervisee and supervisor), graduate funding, and recommendation letters (conversations on post-graduation).

Union members are invited to register for the event on our website, below.

Please note registrations remain open until midnight, September 10th, 2022. The Zoom link to the event will be sent to registrants on September 11th, 2022.

The panelists for the event are: Prof. Jean-Benoît Charron (Associate Dean, Graduate Education, Macdonald Campus, McGill), Upasana Dasgupta (Doctoral Candidate, Faculty of Law, McGill), Matheus Azevedo Silva Pessoa (Doctoral Student, Department of Physics, McGill), and Atia Amin (Doctoral Student, Department of Human Genetics, McGill).

Each panel speaker will have 5 to 10 minutes to speak, followed by a panel discussion led by a moderator, followed by a Q & A from the audience. The entire panel session will not be more than 60 to 75 minutes.
