About The Event
The Invigilator Collective Agreement expired on April 30, and we are preparing to enter into bargaining with McGill for a new one. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in McGill cancelling most in-person exams for the foreseeable future and there are many unknowns about what invigilation will look like with the reopening of campus and resumption of in-person activities.
Come discuss issues you want to see addressed in the new Invigilator Collective Agreement. All members will have the chance to vote on a bargaining mandate to give to your Bargaining Committee at the Invigilator Assembly on October 14, and the Bargaining Committee will explain how members can participate in this virtual assembly. The presentation will include time for questions.
If you have worked as a Invigilator at McGill at any point in the past 18 months (or, between May 1st, 2019 and April 30, 2020 due to the COVID-19 shutdown), you are currently a member of AGSEM Unit 2 and are able to vote and speak at the October 14 Invigilator Assembly.
RSVP necessary. The webinar link will be sent to all registrants in advance of the meeting.
